Say "Thank You" to Your Job References

During your job search, you should keep your references informed and periodically update them on your progress as you search for employment.  It is also very important that you send thank you notes to all of your references after you land a job. Thank them for their assistance and tell them where you are now working and how much you appreciate their help.   You might want to send a gift card if you find out they gave you a really good reference.  After all, you might need them again in the future!
