Note: We do not ask questions that would be asked in a deposition or that would not be asked during a routine employment check. For example, "Did you in fact fire Mrs. Jones after you told her you would allow her to resign?" or "Did you give the promotion to Mr. Smith even though Mrs. Jones was better qualified?" are inappropriate questions that would not be asked by a recruiting firm doing a routine background check (and your reference won't answer them anyway).
